TAKING CARE OF YOUR MATTRESS

Your mattress is an investment that you make for better sleep and better physical and mental health. So of course you want to make it last longer. Depending on the type of mattress you cozy up to every night, the regulations of caring for it may have changed.         Maximize your bed’s durability with the following tips.

Please follow the tips given below –

  • Make sure your mattress is properly supported as A new mattress needs the support of a proper foundation to resist sagging over time. You can choose from the range of variety of Mattresses available in the market. (check the mattress warranty for details).
  • Rotate the mattress regularly. Do turn your Mattress head to foot, once a month, to ensure even usage and avoid permanent body impression.
  • Do not fold or roll the Mattress in any given situation. This may weaken the bonding and eventually lead to sagging.
  • Do treat your Mattress with care. Sitting on edges or keeping heavy objects on it could ruin the shape of the Mattress. Don’t sit on edges of Mattress.
  • Try to avoid getting your Mattress wet. In case, the Mattress gets wet, allow it dry under a fan thoroughly before using it again.
  • Follow your manufacturer cleaning directions as Every type of mattress should be cleaned regularly to keep your sleep environment clean and keep your mattress healthy.
  • If you need to clean your Mattress core, use a damp (moist) cloth and rub lightly. Do not use any detergents to clean your Mattress.
  • Do not expose the mattress core to UV or sun or daylight! If removing the mattress cover is not possible, then vacuuming is the recommended cleaning method. However, check your mattress label or warranty for any special instructions on cleaning or maintaining your mattress.
  • Wash bed linens regularly as bedsheets and blankets should ideally be washed every week to every two weeks according to most cleaning experts. Even when using a mattress protector, it’s still important to keep linens clean. The mattress protector should also be washed occasionally according to a manufacturer’s directions.
  • We suggest using a wet – protective sheet or mattress protector if small children are using the Mattress.
  • Use a mattress protector from the beginning.
  • Do not light a match or smoke near the Mattress, the materials used in the Mattress can catch fire. Keep the Mattress away from the flame.
  • Do not lay the Mattress on uneven cot surface. Do not keep any item below your Mattress.
  • No jumping on the bed! Jumping on the bed may sound like fun, but whatever your age, it’s better to do your jumping elsewhere. Not only is it dangerous, but it can damage the coils and the fibers of your mattress.
  • Take care when moving your mattress. Generally, when moving a mattress, it’s also best to keep them upright on their sides so they don’t crease or sag in transit. For covers with handles, manufacturers typically suggest not using them to move or drag the mattress.
  • Let the Sunlight in occasionally and Let your mattress breathe. Ventilate your room every day. Every month or two when you have a sunny and dry day, strip your mattress and let the sunlight in to air out the bed for several hours (though if bedbugs are possible, leave the cover on). This helps prevent excess moisture both from sleepers and humidity
  • Do ensure that the length & breadth of the cot match with the Mattress to fit properly.
  • Trade It In When It’s Time. Even with the best care, your mattress will eventually wear out, usually after eight to 10 years. It may show wear (like coils poking through or saggy edges). But if you find that you’re waking up with an achy back or it’s simply not feeling as comfortable, it may be time to go TO BUY A NEW MATTRESS.
  • Do not remove the label or the price tag of your Mattress. This serves as a means of identification to establish your warranty rights.
